Henry Simons

Henry Simons was born in France and a jeweler by profession. He served as Captain of Company C in the 4th Rhode Island Infantry and later as Captain of Company B in the 14th Rhode Island Heavy Artillery (Colored). While the 14th R.I. was stationed in Louisiana, Captain Simons died in a New Orleans hospital of typhus in 1864.
